All of my jewellery is unisex. That's how I want to start this article. However, there are going to be obvious exceptions: most men won't fit into a 14" choker, many women don't like wearing black stones or heavy antique silvers, and many men probably wouldn't consider a rose-gold coloured piece of jewellery for themselves. Personally, I don't consider any of this anything to do with gender - it's a case of personal preference based on natural likes / dislikes, and also social nurturing. So, I maintain that all my jewellery is unisex - just buy what you like. I will add that one of the reasons I make many pendants without cords or chains is that it is the cord that creates the style. Take this latest piece below: a Lemurian Seed Quartz with lovely clarity. I'm currently selling it with the option of a thick black leather cord, which could make it look rather intense, heavy, and masculine. However, swap it for a slimmer cream cotton cord, and the look and feel changes quite a lot. You can do this for any pendant, even a dainty little Blue Topaz. This is one of the reasons for my Bespoke Cording Service - you can get the look you want more easily. As my range grows and more items get added over the next few months, I'll be creating a lot more pieces with antique silver, antique brass and copper, and varying shades of metal. I would wear everything I create, and I one hundred percent mean that. (Have you any idea how many creations I've considered not selling and keeping all to myself? Haha! Of course, then there'd be no point in the shop.) I create what I create because I love both the act of creation and the creation itself. This was no different when writing books - I lived those characters; I live these crystals and stones. Experiment with cords and chains; experiment with your look - what you like, what you don't... Do you have garden twine? You can make a pretty rustic and awesome-looking necklace cord with that. Thread some larger beads onto it. Try it. It's not as soft as specially prepared cords, but still looks great. Some more Latest AdditionsClick on the main image to see it in the shop. Lastly, a brand new collection (brand new stone) goes live for my supporters on Ko-fi on 9th March, then goes live in the main shop on 10th March. It'll be announced in my newsletter, too - straight to your inbox.
